Clonal propagation of Jatropha curcas of global selections is being carried out through advanced techniques of Plant Tissue Culture. Jatropha curcas plants are being produced by axillary shoot proliferation method and direct organogenesis. 

The tissue culture technique is also being adopted for clonal improvement, hybrid development and establishing a Jatropha curcas germplasm bank.
